To ensure the representativeness of a sample, the quota method is often used in quantitative studies. The aim is to set the percentages of individuals to be interviewed by criterion, often socio-demographic (sex, age group, CSP, region, etc.). Identification questions are then asked at the beginning of the questionnaire to determine whether the respondent should be interviewed or if enough responses have already been collected from individuals with a similar profile.
