Poll&Roll news to start the year in the starting blocks
Poll&roll news to start the year in the starting blocks!

4 new features appeared on the platform during 2021. We take you to discover them.
Importing new variables to the platform
In order to deepen your analysis, you may need to create new variables that combine answers to different questions in the study and that cannot therefore be grouped into a subtotal. For example, during a reputation barometer, it may be interesting to compare your brand indicators with the brand's core target audience compared to the rest of the sample. poll&roll now gives you control over the creation of these records thanks to the new variable import feature available on the result dashboard.
You can import new variables directly onto the platform. To do this, nothing could be simpler. Export the individual data from your study, create your recode and re-import it using the “import variables” tab in the study results. To help you create your recode, poll&roll has created a tutorial dedicated to importing variables: Variable import tutorial.
This new variable is displayed as a classic question on which you can use the various analysis tools (filters, subtotals). It will also be available in all of your exports.
No time to dive into individual data? It is always possible to delegate the creation of your records to us. To do this, all you have to do is contact the poll&roll team.
Identify areas of interest in your images using hotspots
Hotspot (or heatmap) questions are coming to the poll&roll platform. They allow respondents to select specific points on a visual.
For example, you can ask respondents to select areas that they particularly like in an advertising creation.
These points are returned to you in the form of a heatmap that allows you to easily visualize the most popular areas.
This type of question is particularly suitable for packaging tests or advertising diagnostics.
Direct respondents to the end of the questionnaire using the terminate
You can now direct respondents who meet certain criteria to the end of the questionnaire without excluding them from your sample. Terminate allows you to hide an entire portion of the questionnaire from your secondary target respondents without having to filter each question in the questionnaire. For example, for a study on French online purchases that is intended to be published in the press, you will interview a broad target representative of all French people. Terminate will allow you to ask the core of your questionnaire only to respondents who make online purchases and to redirect respondents who only buy in physical stores at the end of the questionnaire without having to program filters on all your questions.
You can find the terminate in the “filters & flows” tab of the questionnaire editor.
In particular, this feature is ideal for all your sizing problems.
Export a summary table of subtotals
No need to navigate between several cross-sorting tabs to visualize the subtotals of your grid questions, such as image questions. poll&roll has designed summary tables for you that combine all the subtotals of a question in a single table.
